"Anya? Anyaaaaa~?" You called out as walked around the park. You felt lost without your friend around and it was so cold. You rubbed your hands together yet it hadn't helped one bit. You tried to calm down yet you felt like crying.

"Why are you looking for big sister?" asked the boy who stared at you, coldly.

"I was playing with her and I can't find her." You said as you continued rubbing your hands together.

Nikolai tilted his head. He found her interesting but the fact that she is friends with his dear sister felt like a threat. Though, he did not want to leave her alone.

"You're just misunderstood. I know you care for Anya and you're willing to protect her. I respect that but you have to give your sister some space," her usually cheerful voice was emotionless, her eyes staring, not at his eyes, but at his soul. Her phone beep, the alarm she set for her part-time job. With a sigh she turned on her heels and walked away.

"WHY DO YOU CARE ANYWAY!?" Nikolai yelled, pulling out a dagger from his gray jacket. (name) stopped, turning her head to look over her shoulder.

Chapter 3

You woke up and turned to see Nikolai, sleeping peacefully. It was pretty unusual seeing such a light expression on his face. You tried to get up and only ending up in a tightened grip. He was still embracing you. You blushed at the fact that he was still with you. You assumed that Anya and Dmitri weren't around. There was nothing for you to do at the moment. You inched closer to his face as you continued to stare at him.

You were about to doze off as his eyes went wide open, shocking you. You fell off the bed.

"Did I scare you?"

"Oh no! NO! You didn't! Your eyes just sent off a shockwave causing me to flip over." you said sarcastically.

"I see." He smirked and helped you up. "Good morning, (name)."

"Mornin'"

"Do you have any plans for today?"

"Hmm... Not yet. Where's-"

"I lied."

"What?"

"I lied about them coming back today. They're going to be out for a week."

"Great~"

"What's wrong?"

"I get to spend the entire week with you."

"And the problem is...?"

"Nothing. Anyways~ Do YOU have plans for today? I mean, you did ask me about it."

You decided to take a walk on a nearby park. It was the same park you used to visit with Anya and her family. It brought back so much memories, causing you to giggle at some funny moments you just coudln't forget.

'She's losing her mind.' Nikolai thought to himself as he continued observing her from afar.

(name) decided to just stand there, closing her eyes. She did get some odd looks from other people. Nikolai just continued staring...

"You can just come out now, Nik." You said as smirked over to the direction where he was hiding. "You've been watching me for almost an hour."

Nikolai got off from his position and walked towards you.

"Why didn't you run off? You knew that I was sta- watching you."

"I didn't feel like it."

"Well... If you did feel like running off, would you?" He asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Nope." You gave a wide smile. "I don't see any reason for me to be scared of you."

"........" Nikolai let out a sigh.

"Just be home before 7, alright?" He said as he went off.

~ Time skip ~ 7:01pm

"WHY ISN'T SHE-?! SHE SHOULD BE HERE BY NOW!" Nikolai shouted as he continues walking around the living room, trying to overcome paranoia.

"I swear if she gets hurt I'll-" Nikolai stopped and thought for a while...

~ Reader's POV ~

I couldn't stop giggling at this scene. He's so cute and it's really not like him to be like that. Though I was starting to feel bad for him. I guess it was too much.

I decided to take a closer look. So I headed over to the window and slowly opened it.

'I wonder if-' you paused and shrieked as you felt an insect land on your arm. (let's just say that it scares you)

Immediately, right after flailing your arms, a knife crashed through the glass and directly hit the tree behind you. You eyes were wide open thinking that you escaped death.

"(name)!" You shouted as he glared at you. "What happened to 7?" He then gave you a serious look.

"I was here before 7. I just decided not to enter the house."

"......"

"Aww~ Nik! It's okay! I'm perfectly fine."

"Anything can happen. You coudld've been kidnapped."

"Seriously? I can defend myself."

"No, you can't."

"What makes you say so?"

"This." he moved forward and quickly kissed you.

You were still in your shocked state.

"See?"

"W-What?!" You said, trying to hide your face.

He didn't answer and just carried you over his shoulder and threw you over the couch. -he literally threw you-

"Distracted so easily."

"Am not!"

You frowned. You were still thinking if that kiss was real. You were hoping that it wasn't just some test. You hid your face with a pillow.

"I meant it." Nikolai said, sitting beside you.

"......"

"Nik?" You said looking up to see him.

"Yes, (name)?"

You didn't answer. You scooted closer to him and planted a kiss on his cheek. He blushed, not expecting that you'd return his feelings for you. He hugged you tighter and layed his head on the crook of your neck.

You two stayed like that for a moment until you popped up a question...

"What about Anya and Dmitri?" You asked with overflowing curiosity.

"Should we go and find out?"

"Nah, I've had enough stalking. I'd rather stay like this." You said snuggling your head over his chest.

~ Time skip ~ (extended ending)

The doors slowly opened revealing several silhouettes...

"Kesesese~ I told you it'd work!"

"Da. I guess it did."
